The strongest post-tsunami aftershock hit the Aceh province of Indonesia on February 18th. The 5.5 Richter-scale aftershock was the latest in over 200 that have hit the region since December 26, 2004.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
The December 26th quake had a magnitude of at least 9.0.
Indonesia is regularly hit by earthquakes, which are caused by the shifting of nearby tectonic plates.
