Nine Mothers Claim 3-Month-Old Tsunami Baby
January 16, 2005
“Baby 81” is what they are calling a precious baby boy who was found alive on a beach among dead bodies and debris after the tsunami hit on December 26th.
He is currently in a Sri Lankan hospital.
He has been claimed, so why can’t he go home? Because nine different mothers claim him as their own.
This is not an unusual case, because desperate parents who yearn to be united with their children often see what they want to see. If it is not their child, they want it to be their child. The pain of separation is overwhelming to them.
DNA tests are used to determine the actual parents.
